The Navy’s Submersible is a new small submersible operated by a crew of 2 and capable of transporting 8 additional passengers. The sub has limited ability to condition, purify, or monitor its internal air. A system to monitor and capture CO, hydrocarbons, and other hazardous compounds is needed. In addition, a more effective means to control the relative humidity inside the sub is required. Prototype devices for gas detection, atmospheric control, and de-humidification are desired.
