The Navy’s Submersible is a new small submersible operated by a crew of 2 and capable of transporting 8 additional passengers. It is able to operate in both fresh and salt water, however, the sub has reduced payload capability in the less dense fresh water. Design and fabrication of a prototype system that will be fitted to the sub, tested and demonstrated to manage buoyancy is desired.
