The Navy’s Dry Combat Submersible (DCS) is a new small submersible operated by a crew of 2 and capable of transporting 8 additional passengers. Two crew members sit in at the command station of the DCS. A new seat design is required that can offer increased operator comfort, better access to switches, controls, and displays, increased stowage, and other improvements. Design, fabrication, and demonstration of a prototype command seat is desired.
