A system is needed for the Navy’s Dry Combat Submersible (DCS) that can adjust the vehicle’s buoyancy while operating in waters with varying salinity (density), preserving basic DCS payload capabilities. Modifications to the DCS are envisioned external to its pressurized hull. Analysis, design, prototype system components, and testing is desired.
