The Navy’s Dry Combat Submersible (DCS) carries a large amount of internal equipment that must be located in specific areas for buoyancy control and ready access during mission phases. A modular stowage system is desired that can organize internal equipment, maximize available space/volume, maintain buoyancy and trim, and provide easy equipment access by the crew. A system design, modular stowage prototypes, and stowage models are desired that can be evaluated by DCS crews.
