External storage volumes for the Navy’s Dry Combat Submersible are required to support divers operating external to the DCS, performing various missions. External volumes can be unpressurized and free-flooding. The storage capability must not significantly degrade the DCS’s maneuverability, speed, trim, and other safety characteristics. Attached external “pods” may be a design approach. Provide analyses, models, and applicable testing of prototypes.
